| Custom Stained Glass Windows
There are three vertical windows, each about 18 feet tall, with about 9 feet of wall between each window. Each vertical window is further separated into five separate panels: three smaller panels about 2 feet by 2 feet, and two larger panels about 2 feet by 6 feet. There are fifteen separate panels in all. For this project Bello Vetro Studios contracted the help of interior designer Ceri Lamplugh of Haven Designs in Guelph.. Ceri made on-site visits to the Chapel, sensing the surroundings of the window and the client’s wants and needs. Ceri designed a window that fits its setting. It took Ceri 3 months of on-site measuring, drawing sketches, presenting our design, and finally, producing full size patterns. It took another 5 months for Mike Sorci, general manager of Bello Vetro Studios Inc., to build the 15 panels. Finally, by the end of September 2006, the windows were installed. |
The Bishop Macdonell High School Alumni Association raised funds to commission stained glass windows for the Sisters of Loretto Chapel located in the new Bishop Macdonell high school in Guelph, Ontario.
